Pectin (CAS: 9000-69-5, EINECS: 232-553-0, HS Code: 1302200000, E Number: E440) is a white to light yellowish-brown fine powder, a natural heteropolysaccharide extracted from citrus peels, apple pomace and other plant cell walls, mainly composed of α-1,4 linked polygalacturonic acid with partial methyl esterification. We supply food grade, pharmaceutical grade and cosmetic grade products, including high methoxyl (HM, DE>50%), low methoxyl (LM, DE<50%) and amidated pectin series, complying with FCC, USP and international food additive standards. It is soluble in water to form viscous colloidal solution, stable under acidic conditions, and exhibits excellent gelling, thickening, emulsifying and film-forming properties. Classic natural gelling agent for jams, jellies, fruit fillings and gummy candies. High methoxyl pectin forms elastic gel in high-sugar acidic systems, delivering smooth texture and stable shape; low methoxyl pectin gels with calcium ions under low-sugar conditions, suitable for sugar-free and low-sugar products.
