  • Description

n-Butyl ether is a low-polarity, inert ether solvent with outstanding solubility for fats, resins, rubber, and organometallic compounds. It has extremely low water solubility and excellent dehydration and separation properties, making it a core extraction solvent in organic synthesis. In chemical synthesis, it is commonly used as a reaction medium for Grignard reactions and organometallic reactions; it is unlikely to participate in side reactions, stabilizes the reaction system, and improves product yield; In the fine chemicals sector, it is used for the extraction and purification of antibiotics, flavorings and fragrances, and high-purity organic reagents, enabling efficient separation of the aqueous and organic phases and reducing impurity residues. In the coatings and inks industry, it serves as a diluent and additive to improve paint film leveling and reduce issues such as pinholes and bubbles in coatings; in lithium-ion battery and electronic chemical production, it is used to clean oil stains and residual organic impurities from component surfaces, with a moderate evaporation rate that leaves no residue. High-purity grades can serve as solvents for analytical chemistry standards, suitable for extraction processes in gas chromatography (GC) and liquid chromatography (LC) sample preparation. Due to its flammability and explosive properties, it is rarely used in processes involving direct contact with food or pharmaceuticals, and is primarily limited to four major applications: industrial synthesis, extraction and separation, precision cleaning, and coating additives. When used in conjunction with desiccants, it can further expand the scope of anhydrous synthesis applications.

The product strictly complies with the GB/T 2961-2014 national standard, accompanied by a complete set of MSDS, commodity inspection reports, and hazardous packaging certificates, and meets EU REACH import and export requirements. Standard packaging includes 200 kg galvanized closed-top steel drums and 1,000 L IBC containers. For large volumes, bulk transport via tank containers is available. Storing and transporting the product in a sealed, light-protected environment effectively delays oxidation and discoloration. Supply is stable and ample, supporting full-container and consolidated shipments for international trade, and meeting global chemical procurement and custom fine chemical production needs.
