Product Overview

Meloxicam (CAS 71125-38-7), marketed under brand names including Mobic and Metacam, is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory compound that preferentially modulates cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) activity, with relatively lower activity against COX-1. It appears as a yellowish to white solid powder with the molecular formula C₁₄H₁₃N₃O₄S₂ and a molecular weight of 351.40 g/mol. The compound is practically insoluble in water, with higher solubility observed in strong acids and bases.

With a purity of ≥98.0% by HPLC, Meloxicam is a well-established pharmaceutical compound used in the research of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and other inflammatory conditions in both human and veterinary medicine
