Pimobendan (CAS 74150-27-9), also known as UD-CG115, is a selective phosphodiesterase III (PDE3) modulator with positive inotropic and vasodilatory properties . It appears as a white to off-white crystalline solid with the molecular formula C₁₉H₁₈N₄O₂ and a molecular weight of 334.37 g/mol .

With a purity of ≥98.0% by HPLC, Pimobendan is a well-established veterinary pharmaceutical compound approved for the management of congestive heart failure in dogs . It is also used as an EP reference standard for laboratory testing
