    1. Physical Properties
    At room temperature, it is a colorless to reddish-brown oily liquid that is slightly soluble in water and soluble in solvents such as ethanol, diethyl ether, and chloroform.
    2. Chemical Properties
    It is generally weakly alkaline and can react with various acids to form the corresponding salts; it is relatively chemically stable at room temperature, but prolonged exposure to air causes it to oxidize slowly, gradually turning dark brown. It is a flammable substance and poses a fire hazard when exposed to open flames, high heat, or strong oxidizing agents; when decomposed by heat, it releases toxic fumes such as carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides, and must not be stored with acids, acyl chlorides, strong oxidizing agents, or similar substances.
    3. Main Uses
    (1) Core intermediate in fine organic synthesis: It is a key raw material in the dye industry and an important intermediate in the pesticide and pharmaceutical sectors; it can be used in the synthesis of agricultural chemicals and as a precursor for certain pharmaceuticals.
    (2) Applications in fuel additives: As a classic gasoline anti-knock agent, it effectively increases the octane rating of gasoline; it also serves as an explosive stabilizer, enhancing the storage safety of pyrotechnic products; In certain organic synthesis reactions, it can also act as an acid scavenger to neutralize acidic byproducts generated during the reaction.
    (3) Solvent and Special Reagent Applications: It can serve as a general-purpose organic solvent to dissolve certain organic compounds that are poorly soluble in common solvents, and it can also act as a reaction medium in certain organic synthesis reactions.
