1. Physical Properties
At room temperature, it is a colorless to pale yellow transparent liquid that is highly soluble in water, alcohols, and other polar solvents. It releases a small amount of heat upon dissolution and has no noticeable irritating odor.
2. Chemical Properties
It is a strong organic acid with an acidity comparable to that of sulfuric acid. It is stable at room temperature but decomposes to release sulfur dioxide when exposed to high temperatures or strong oxidizing agents. It exhibits high catalytic activity without readily causing substrate carbonization, is readily biodegradable, and is highly corrosive to metals.
3. Main Applications
(1) Electroplating: Serves as the primary salt in eco-friendly tin plating, suitable for the production of printed circuit boards (PCBs) for electronic components. It replaces traditional fluoroboric acid processes and reduces the complexity of wastewater treatment.
(2) Chemical Catalysis: Replaces sulfuric acid in organic reactions such as esterification and transesterification; it produces few side reactions and allows for easy product separation. It is also used in the synthesis of various methylsulfonate intermediates.
(3) Other Applications: Used in pharmaceutical synthesis, metal cleaning and descaling, and lithium-ion battery electrolyte formulations; it can also serve as a coating curing accelerator to enhance coating performance.

The product strictly complies with the GB/T 2961-2014 national standard, accompanied by a complete set of MSDS, commodity inspection reports, and hazardous packaging certificates, and meets EU REACH import and export requirements. Standard packaging includes 200 kg galvanized closed-top steel drums and 1,000 L IBC containers. For large volumes, bulk transport via tank containers is available. Storing and transporting the product in a sealed, light-protected environment effectively delays oxidation and discoloration. Supply is stable and ample, supporting full-container and consolidated shipments for international trade, and meeting global chemical procurement and custom fine chemical production needs.
