Acrylic Acid (AA, CAS:79‑10‑7, molecular formula (boldsymbol{C_3H_4O_2}), also known as 2‑Propenoic acid, is a vital unsaturated monocarboxylic acid monomer manufactured via propylene oxidation process followed by multi-stage rectification. Stabilized with MEHQ (hydroquinone monomethyl ether) to prevent spontaneous polymerization. It appears as colorless transparent liquid with sharp pungent odor, miscible with water, alcohols, ethers and most polar solvents. It contains reactive vinyl group and carboxylic acid group, capable of homopolymerization and copolymerization with various monomers. It is the fundamental raw material for producing acrylic esters, polyacrylic acid and superabsorbent polymers, complying with industrial polymerization-grade monomer standards. Packaging & Storage
Standard package: 200kg PE-lined galvanized iron drum; IBC tank or ISO tank for bulk shipment.
Store in cool, dry and well-ventilated warehouse, storage temperature controlled at 15–25°C, keep tightly sealed. Keep away from open flame, heat sources, strong oxidants, strong alkalis and polymerization initiators. Avoid direct sunlight. Do not remove inhibitor during storage. Prevent overheating which may trigger violent polymerization. Shelf life: 6 months under standard sealed storage.
