    Chemical Formula: KNaC₄H₄O₆·4H₂O
    CAS No.: 6381-59-5
    Common Name: Rochelle Salt
    Appearance: White crystalline powder/crystals

It is widely used as a complexing and chelating agent in electroplating and metal-treatment processes, as a laboratory reagent (including Fehling’s solution), and in certain food, pharmaceutical, and specialty chemical applications, depending on the grade and applicable regulatory requirements.

    ECHEMI Editorial Reference
    white semi-transparent crystals
Colourless crystals or white crystalline powder
Potassium sodium tartrate tetrahydrate is a ferroelectric crystal with a high piezoelectric effect and electromechanical coupling coefficient.
Recrystallise it from distilled water (solubility: 0.4mL/g at 100o, 0.7mL/g at 14o). [Beilstein 3 IV 1223.]
