It appears as a colorless to light yellow clear liquid at room temperature, with the molecular formula C₈H₇FO and a molecular weight of 138.14 g/mol. The compound solidifies at lower temperatures (melting point 26-27°C) and exhibits a characteristic refractive index of 1.507.
