Ichthammol

This product is a brownish-black viscous liquid, soluble in water, with a characteristic odor. It has mild irritant anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effects, and can reduce inflammation, alleviate swelling, and inhibit secretion. It is used for skin inflammation, boils, acne, and similar conditions.

ICHTHOSULFONATE is a complex product obtained by the sulfonation and ammoniation of the distillation product from bituminous schists. It may contain saturated and unsaturated hydrocarbons, nitrogen bases and thiophene derivatives.
Pale yellow or brownish-black to dark brown very viscous liquid. Strong tarry odor and a burning taste.
