     Bacteriostatic Water is a sterile, non-pyrogenic aqueous solution containing 0.9% benzyl--a.lcohol as a bacteriostatic preservative. This combination of sterile water and benzyl alcohol allows users to withdraw multiple doses from the same plastic vial.

Primary Uses
In medical applications, BAC water is mainly used for:

• Drug Dilution and Reconstitution: It is used to prepare various medications, serving as a diluent or solvent.
• Prevention of Microbial Growth: As it contains a bacteriostatic agent and is inherently free of microorganisms, it effectively prevents microbial proliferation during repeated withdrawals and storage.

        Unopened Bacteriostatic Water (BAC water) should be stored at room temperature (20°C–25°C) away from light. Once the rubber stopper has been punctured, the vial must be refrigerated at 2°C–8°C and used within 28 days; otherwise, it must be discarded.

• Environmental Requirements: Store in a dry, room-temperature environment away from light (ideally controlled between 20°C and 25°C). Avoid direct sunlight or extreme temperature fluctuations.
• Shelf Life: Under these conditions, the product will maintain its manufacturer-stated expiration date (typically 2–3 years), provided the outer packaging remains intact and undamaged.

• Refrigerated Storage: Once the rubber stopper is punctured with a withdrawal device, the vial must be placed in a refrigerator (2°C–8°C). Do not freeze, as this may cause the vial to break or alter the properties of the solvent.
• 28-Day Expiration Limit: Although BAC water contains 0.9% benzyl--a.lcohol as a bacteriostatic agent, the effectiveness and safety of the preservative typically last only 28 days after puncture. Beyond this period, the vial must be discarded even if there is remaining liquid, to prevent microbial growth.
• Operational Standards: Before each withdrawal, the rubber stopper must be thoroughly disinfected with an alcohol swab. Wait for the alcohol to completely evaporate before inserting the needle to minimize the risk of contamination.

• Visual Inspection: The condition of the solution should be checked before every withdrawal. If the liquid appears cloudy, contains sediment, or has changed color, it may be contaminated and must never be used.
