Nitrofurazone

Nitrofurazone appears as yellow crystalline powder, odorless, with a initially bland taste followed by a slightly bitter aftertaste. Its color gradually deepens upon exposure to sunlight. It melts with decomposition at 236–240 °C. It is slightly soluble in ethanol, very sparingly soluble in water, and practically insoluble in ether and chloroform.
