Product Detail

Batyl alcohol, also named 1‑octadecyl glycerol ether, belongs to alkylglycerol ether family. It is white to off‑white crystalline powder with slight characteristic odor. Insoluble in water, soluble in chloroform, ethanol, ether and other organic solvents.
Production Process: Glycerol hydroxyl‑protected by acetone, etherified with octadecyl tosylate, deprotected by hydrolysis and purified via recrystallization.
Application: Pharmaceutical raw material for leukopenia induced by radiotherapy, chemotherapy and benzene poisoning for leukocyte‑increasing effect. Also used as emollient, skin‑conditioning agent and liquid‑crystal stabilizer in cosmetic formulations.
Grade: Pharma API grade (GMP available), reagent grade. Non‑hazardous goods.
