          Boric acid (CAS 10043-35-3) is a white crystalline powder or colorless microcrystalline granules with the molecular formula H₃BO₃ and a molecular weight of 61.83 g/mol. It is a weak monobasic acid that is sparingly soluble in cold water but increasingly soluble in hot water and alcohol. The product is supplied at a minimum purity of 99.5% and is widely used in various applications including glass and ceramic manufacturing, as a flame retardant, in the production of borosilicate glass, and as a buffer in biochemical and analytical applications.           Synthetic Process

          Boric acid is primarily produced by the reaction of borax (sodium tetraborate) with sulfuric acid or hydrochloric acid, followed by crystallization and purification. Alternatively, it can be obtained by dissolving colemanite or other boron minerals in hot water, followed by filtration, concentration, and crystallization. The product is carefully dried to maintain the required purity for reagent-grade applications.
