Castor oil is a vegetable oil extracte from castor seeds. At room temperature, it is an almost colorless or slightly yellowish clear viscous liquid with a slight odor and a mild and then slightly pungent taste. Flammable but not flammable, insoluble in water, soluble in ethano, benzene and carbo disulfide, can be freely mixed with absolute ethano, ether, chloroform or glacial aceti acid, but insoluble in mineral oil.
