4-BROMO-TETRAHYDROPYRAN Use and Manufacturing

Preparation OF 3- [5-AMINO-4- (TETRAHYDRO-PYRAN-4-CARBONYL)-IMIDAZOL-1-YL]-N- CYCLOPROPYL-4-METHYL-BENZAMIDE A. 4-BROMO-TETRAHYDRO-PYRAN. TETRAHYDRO-4H-PYRAN-4-OL (L. OG, LOMMOL), carbon tetrabromide (3.6g, L 1mmol) and triphenylphosphine (3. 1G, 12MMOL) were dissolved in CH2C12 (25 mL) and stirred at room temperature overnight. The crude reaction mixture was concentrated then purified by flash chromatography on silica gel (EtOAc: Hexanes = 1: 20), and the product was obtained as a colorless oil (1.4g, 87percent).
