General procedure: A 10 ml single neck RB flask equipped with reflex condenser and magnetic stir bar were charged with amide (100 mg, 1 eq), and xylene (3 ml). To this stirred solution pre activated Al3+-K10 clay (100 mg) was added and heated at 140 0C for 16 h. The reaction completion was monitored by TLC. After the required time, the reaction mixture was diluted with acetonitrile, filtered and dried separately, the crude product was obtained by removing the solvent under reduced pressure then, the product was purified by column chromatography using 60-120 mesh silica with 1-5 % methanol in chloroform as an eluting solventEXAMPLE 59
