Drug Function and Efficacy
Pingyangmycin is a bleomycin antitumor antibiotic produced by Streptomyces pingyangensis. It can inhibit the synthesis of cancer cell DNA and cut off DNA chains, affect the metabolic function of cancer cells, and promote cancer cell degeneration and necrosis. In vitro experiments have shown that it has a strong killing effect on a variety of cancer cells such as liver cancer BEL7402, gastric cancer MGC803, nasopharyngeal cancer CNB-2, colon cancer HT-29 and oral squamous cell carcinoma KB. In vivo, it has a significant inhibitory effect on subcutaneously inoculated rats of Wacker's tumor 256, mouse sarcoma 180, sarcoma 37, liver cancer and melanoma, and its anti-tumor effect is stronger than mitomycin and BleomycinA2. It is a non-specific drug for the cell cycle and has no significant effect on the body's immune function and hematopoietic function.
