Provision to contain effluent from fire extinguishing. Separated from food and feedstuffs. Keep in a well-ventilated room.

d-Phenothrin is hydrolyzed by alkalis but is stable in neutral or weakly acidic media. Unstable in most solvents except methanol, ethyl cellosolve, o-cresol and dimethylsulfoxide. Unstable to ultra violet irradiation and has a short residual life on pre-harvest application. However, d-phenothrin applied to wheat after harvest showed only slight degradation after six months storage at 30 deg C. When protected from light no breakdown of d-phenothrin was observed after one year at room temperature
