Description

ChEBI: A carboxylic ester obtained by formal condensation of 3-(2,2-dichlorovinyl)-2,2-dimethylcyclopropanecarboxylic acid and 2,3,5,6-tetrafluorobenzyl alcohol.

Transfluthrin is a carboxylic ester obtained by formal condensation of 3-(2,2-dichlorovinyl)-2,2-dimethylcyclopropanecarboxylic acid and 2,3,5,6-tetrafluorobenzyl alcohol. It has a role as a pyrethroid ester insecticide. It is a carboxylic ester, a member of cyclopropanes, an organochlorine compound and an organofluorine compound. It derives from a 3-(2,2-dichlorovinyl)-2,2-dimethylcyclopropanecarboxylic acid.|Transfluthrin is under investigation in clinical trial NCT02394522 (Spatial Repellent Products for Control of Vector Borne Diseases - Malaria - Zambia (SR-M-ZM)).
