2,3-Dichloro-5-hydroxypyridine Use and Manufacturing
A solution of KOH (728 mg, 13 mmol) in 7 ml of water was added to a solution of compound 3 (1 g, 4.8 mmol) in 10 ml of THF at 0 °C. After addition, the mixture was stirred at ambient temperature for 2 h. Then the mixture added dilute hydrochloric acid to adjust the pH value to weak alkaline and filtered. The filter residue was purified by recrystallization to give compound 4(517 mg, y: 65percent).
