Methods of Manufacturing

It is derived from the reaction of 1-bromoethylbenzene and silver acetate in acetic acid. It is formed by acetylation of hexanomethylbenzyl alcohol. It is formed by the reaction of benzaldehyde and bromomethyl magnesium, and then acetylation.

Uses

spices. Mainly used to prepare nut flavors.
