1-BENZYL-4-HYDROXY-4-(3-TRIFLUOROTOLYL)PIPERIDINOL Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

Add benzylamine and methyl acrylate under reflux to generate N, N-bis(β-methylpropionate)benzylamine, which is then cyclized and converted into hydrochloride under the action of sodium methoxide to obtain 1-benzyl -3-Methoxycarbonyl-4-piperidone hydrochloride, the latter is hydrolyzed with hydrochloric acid and decarboxylated to obtain 1-benzyl-4-piperidone, which is then combined with m-bromobenzotrifluoride and metal magnesium (Grignard reagent ) Reaction to obtain 1-benzyl-4-hydroxy-4-(3-trifluoromethylphenyl)piperidine magnesium bromide, which is finally obtained by hydrolysis with hydrochloric acid.

Uses

Intermediate of trifluoperidine hydrochloride.
