Cimetropium bromide Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

The compound (I) and cyclopropyl bromide are refluxed in acetonitrile for 15 to 99 hours to obtain citonium bromide.

Uses

It can block the muscarinic receptors of visceral smooth muscle, so it has an anti-muscarinic effect and also relieves the spasm of smooth muscle. Used for gallstone colic, renal colic, gastrointestinal spasm pain, biliary and urinary tract spasm pain, dysmenorrhea, labor pain, etc.
