4-Chloro-3,5-dinitrobenzaldehyde Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

4-Hydroxy-3, 5-dinitrobenzaldehyde was dissolved in phosphorus oxychloride, and N, N-diethylaniline was added dropwise with stirring at room temperature. After the addition is complete, continue to stir and react for 15 minutes. Then, the reaction solution was poured into ice water to decompose the unreacted phosphorus oxychloride. The precipitated light yellow solid is filtered, washed with water, and dried to obtain 4-chloro-3, 5-dinitrobenzaldehyde.

Uses

Organic synthesis intermediate.
