Mergetpa is a potent mercapto bi-product analogue inhibitor for human carboxypeptidase N. Carboxypeptidase N is a potent bradykinin and anaphylatoxin inactivator in plasma. Mergetpa improves rt-PA induced thrombolysis in a dog model of coronary artery thrombosis.
