Description
Magnesium is an essential nutrient for plants and animals and is a natural constituent of fruits, vegetables, grain, meats and sea-foods. It is the fourth most abundant cation in the human body and the second most plentiful intracellularly. The average 60-kg human adult body contains about 24 g magnesium of which about one-half resides in bone. Magnesium chloride Use and Manufacturing
1. (KCl.MgC 6H2O) solution is produced by concentration of the sea salt by-product brine which goes cooling, removing the potassium chloride, Concentration, filtration, cooling and crystallization process. Magnesium Oxide or magnesium carbonate is made from dissolved and replaced by hydrochloric acid. Anhydrous magnesium chloride is obtained by heating and removing ammonia from ammonium chloride.
2. Anhydrous magnesium chloride can be composed of a mixture of ammonium chloride and Liushuihelvhuamei, or dehydrated from ammonium chloride - liushuihelvhuamei in hydrogen chloride in the air. The same mole MgCl2, 6H2O, and NH4Cl are soluble in water, in the form of a double salt crystallization in solution temperature higher than 50℃. Keep the original temperature and separate to liquor. Once again to re crystallization. After little drying, put it into the quartz boat while it's hot. To add the dry hydrogen chloride gas, at the same time make the temperature up to 100℃, to dehydrate 3h, and then heat up to 250 ℃ for 1h, and then heat up to 400℃ for 1h. Finally it's melt in a short period of time, and to add the CO2 gas to expel HCl gas. Anhydrous magnesium chloride can be stored in a desiccator in phosphorus pentoxide. Salt of NH4Cl - MgCl2 - 6H2O can also be put in vacuum furnace. It is heated to 200 ℃ under reduced pressure, so that the amount of hydrogen chloride gas can be reduced.
