Methods of Manufacturing

Using p-nitrotoluene as a raw material, the mixture of o-chloro-p-nitrotoluene and m-chloro-p-nitrotoluene is generated by chlorination, the o-chloro-p-nitrotoluene is separated by crystallization, and the finished product is obtained by reduction, purification and sulfonation. Raw material consumption quota: p-nitrotoluene (98.5%) 780kg/t, sulfuric acid (98) 485kg/t, chlorine (99%) 589kg/t, sulfur (99%) 273kg/t, sodium sulfide (63.5%) 1051kg/ t. Hydrochloric acid (32.5%) 391kg/t.

Uses

As an important intermediate for organic pigments, it can synthesize light fast red BBN, permanent fast red F5R, light fast red BBS, light fast red 2BL, light fast red MGP, etc.
