Potassium bitartrate Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

By-products after alcohol removal in winemaking are obtained by recrystallization from the following method. The acid decomposition method of raw tartar solution is added with hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid. After decolorization and filtration, a refined potassium tartrate potassium sulfate salt solution is obtained, and the soda ash is added to precipitate crystals and separated. Alkaline decomposition method: Raw tartar solution is neutralized with soda ash, decolorized, filtered, and sulfuric acid is added to precipitate crystals. After being neutralized by d-tartaric acid and potassium carbonate, add d-tartaric acid solution to crystallize it.

Uses

As analytical reagents, buffers, reducing agents, etc. used in condiments, food processing, electroplating, and pharmaceutical industries. Mainly used as a leavening agent in the food industry.Commonly used as analytical reagents for the pharmaceutical industry and the preparation of microbial culture media. As a loosening agent, it can be used for baking powder in my country.

Drug Function and Efficacy

After being placed in the vagina, it absorbs vaginal secretions and dissolves and foams by itself, allowing the spermicide to spread quickly and be evenly distributed in various parts of the vagina, mechanically blocking the advancement of sperm, increasing the drug area, interacting with the lipoprotein membrane of sperm cells, and changing the permeability of sperm cells, thereby increasing the effectiveness of killing sperm or making sperm lose their vitality.

This ingredient has been used in drugs with the following functions (note: it does not mean that the ingredient itself has the following health functions)
