Mix 148g of phthalic anhydride with 220g of phosphorus pentachloride, heat, and gradually raise the temperature to 250°C to release phosphorus oxychloride. The reaction product is distilled under reduced pressure, and fractions of 131-133°C (1.2-1.33kPa) are collected to obtain 187g of o-benzene Diformyl chloride.
