Description

Marjoram oil (sweet marjoram oil) is obtained by steam distillation of the herb Origanummajorana L. (Majorana hortensis Moench, Lamiaceae). It is a yellow to greenish-yellow liquid with a characteristic earthy, spicy odor.

Methods of Manufacturing

It is obtained from the flowers of Lavandula latifolia (Lavandula latifolia) by steam distillation. The yield is about 0.9%. Mainly produced in France, Spain, the former Yugoslavia and Italy.
