Methylisoeugenol Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

Isoeugenol is added to potassium hydroxide solution, dimethyl sulfate is added under stirring, and the precipitated oil layer is distilled.

Uses

It is widely used in carnations, roses, lilacs, ylang-ylang and other floral flavors as a deodorant and can be given a special style. Applicable to Luolia type (for perfume), oriental type, spicy type and woody type essence. Occasionally used as a spicy coordinator in vanilla bean, chocolate and other food flavors, and also in tobacco flavors.
