4-Chloro-3-nitrobenzenesulfonyl chloride Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

Obtained by chlorosulfonation of o-nitrochlorobenzene. Add chlorosulfonic acid into the chlorosulfonation pot, and add molten o-nitrochlorobenzene within 1h at below 60°C. Incubate at 60°C for 1 hour, heat up to 103-107°C for 6 hours, cool down to 40°C, add ice to cool, and filter under 25°C. Wash with water to pH 5 to obtain 2-nitrochlorobenzene-4-sulfonyl chloride.

Uses

Used to manufacture disperse dye intermediates
