Polyaziridine Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

Preparation of ethyleneimine 300 kg of ethanolamine and 50 kg of water are added to the reaction pot, and 50 kg of concentrated sulfuric acid is slowly added dropwise with stirring, and the temperature is controlled at 10-30°C during the dropwise addition of sulfuric acid. After dripping, keep warm and stir for 1 h. Then continue to increase the temperature to 50 ℃, dehydration under reduced pressure until there is precipitation of crystals. Stop vacuum distillation. Cool and filter. The filter cake was washed with a small amount of water and dried to obtain ammonia ethanol bisulfate. Transfer it to a hydrolysis kettle, add 200 kg of 30% NaOH aqueous solution, and hydrolyze at 100 ℃ to distill out the azeotrope of ethyleneimine and water. Polymerization reaction: The ethyleneimine aqueous solution prepared above is added to a polymerization kettle, hydrogen chloride and carbon dioxide are introduced, and vinylimine is polymerized under acid catalysis to obtain polyethyleneimine.

Uses

Used as a polyelectrolyte multilayer on charged surfaces to provide a biocompatible coating on surfaces.1Detergents, adhesives, water treatment, printing inks, dyes, cosmetics, and paper industry, adhesion promoter, lamination primer, fixative agent, flocculant, cationic dispersant, stability enhancer, surface activator, chelating agent, scavenger for aldehydes and oxides.
