Description
Benzenediazonium chloride is an organic compound with the formula [C6H5N2]Cl. It is a salt of a diazonium cation and chloride. It exists as a colourless solid that is soluble in polar solvents including water. It is the parent member of the aryldiazonium compounds, which are widely used in organic chemistry. Because the salt is unstable, it is not commercially available but is prepared upon demand.

Benzenediazonium chloride Use and Manufacturing
Aniline is obtained by diazotization. Pour hydrochloric acid and crushed ice into the reaction pot, stir and add aniline, and slowly add sodium nitrite solution below 5°C. Use starch potassium iodide test paper to test. When the test paper is dark blue, it means that the end of the reaction is reached.
Intermediate for organic synthesis of medicines, dyes, pesticides, etc.
