N-Methylbenzylamine Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

It is derived from the reaction of benzyl chloride and methylamine in benzene solvent. Add monomethylamine and benzene to the reaction pot, add dropwise benzyl chloride at 25°C, and finish the addition in about 5-6h, then heat to 45°C for 4h. Add sodium hydroxide and keep it for 1 hour. After standing for stratification, the benzene layer was distilled to 140°C under normal pressure, and then distilled under reduced pressure to collect 75-130°C (2.0-6.67kPa). The fraction was benzylmethylamine.
