Aluminum distearate Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

The molten stearic acid is mixed with excess sodium hydroxide solution to prepare a soap solution, and then a dilute aluminum sulfate solution is injected into the soap solution in the presence of lye to carry out a metathesis reaction, which is washed, centrifuged, and dehydrated into hydroxyaluminum distearate The crude product is finally washed and dried to obtain the finished product. Raw material consumption quota: stearic acid 860kg/t, aluminum sulfate (95%) 630kg/t, solid alkali, (95%) 210kg/t.

Uses

Used as a non-toxic heat stabilizer for PVC, metal rust inhibitor, building material waterproofing agent, cosmetic emulsifier, paint and ink thickening thickener, plastic product lubricant, oil drilling defoamer
