Cinnamyl alcohol Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

Saponin balsam containing cinnamic cinnamate was saponified in an equal amount of 10% caustic soda solution for 5 hours to obtain the hydrolysate cinnamic alcohol and cinnamic acid. The ether was extracted with ether and purified by vacuum distillation. Dissolve cinnamaldehyde in isopropanol, catalyzed by aluminum isopropoxide, and perform fractional distillation at 70-80°C. The reduced distillate is the crude product, and then the isopropyl alcohol is distilled off, vacuum distillation, and purification to obtain the pure product.
