Description

white crystalline low melting solid Cyclopentadecanolide occurs in small quantities in, for example, angelica root oil. It forms colorless crystals (mp 37–38°C) with a delicate, musk-like odor. ω-Pentadecalactone has an extraordinarily persistent, musk-like odor.
