2-Hydrazino-4-methylbenzothiazole Use and Manufacturing
HCl (12m, 2.5 ml) was added to a mixture of 4-methylbenzo[d]thiazol-2-amine (5.0 g, 30. 5 mmol) and NH2NH2.H2O (19.2 ml, 335 mmol) in ethylene glycol (30 ml). The mixture was heated 120 °C and stirred for 5h. After cooling to room temperature, precipitation was observed. The precipitate was collected by filtration, and washed with EtOH (15 ml) to afford compound 298a (2.3 g, yield 41.7percent) as white needle crystal. 1H NMR (DMSO-d6, 400mhz) δ 8.98 (br.s., 1h), 7.46 (d, 7 = 8.0 hz, 1h), 7.00 (d, 7 = 7.6 hz, 1h), 6.88 -6.84 (m, 2h), 4.98 (s, 2h), 2.38 (s, 3h).
