Drug Function and Efficacy

It has the same chemical and biological properties as endogenous estradiol in the human body and is classified as human estrogen. It is involved in certain functions of the uterus and appendages, including causing endometrial hyperplasia and cyclical changes in the cervix and vagina. It plays an important role in bone and fat metabolism, affects the activity of the autonomic nervous system, and can also adjust mental activities through indirect effects.

Ingredients	Estradiol, dydrogesterone.
Indication	Estrogen metabolism may be increased when used with drugs known to induce drug-metabolizing enzymes, particularly P450 enzymes, such as anticonvulsants (e.g., phenobarbital, carbamazepine, phenytoin) and anti-infectives (e.g., rifampicin, rifabutin, nevirapine, efavirenz). Although ritonavir and nefinavir are known potent inhibitors, they show an induction effect when used with steroid hormones. Herbal preparations of Hypericum containing St. John's wort may induce the metabolism of estrogens and progestins. Clinically, increased metabolism of estrogens and progestins may lead to a reduction in their effects and a change in the pattern of uterine bleeding. There are currently no known drugs that interact with dydrogesterone.
Specifications	Estradiol tablets contain 1 mg of estradiol; estradiol dydrogesterone tablets contain 1 mg of estradiol and 10 mg of dydrogesterone.
