Mucobromic acid Use and Manufacturing
Add 2-furancarboxylic acid to water to cool, stir, and add bromine dropwise. The reaction was heated to reflux for 0.5h. The product is precipitated after being fully cooled, filtered, and the filter cake is ground together with sodium bisulfite and water and then filtered to obtain a crude product. The crude product is recrystallized with boiling water and decolorized by activated carbon to obtain pure 2, 3-dibromo-2-butenoic acid. The yield is 64-67%.
