Sodium orotate is an organic sodium salt comprising equal numbers of sodium and orotate ions. It has a role as a Saccharomyces cerevisiae metabolite, a human metabolite and a mouse metabolite. It contains an orotate.|An intermediate product in PYRIMIDINE synthesis which plays a role in chemical conversions between DIHYDROFOLATE and TETRAHYDROFOLATE.
