Magnetite (Fe3O4) Use and Manufacturing

Using ferrous sulfate oxidation method. Stir to containing ferrous sulphate under 150 g/L add enough 30% solution of sodium hydroxide, make 40% of the precipitation of Fe3 + (OH) 3, at the same time in the 30 ~ 35 ℃, air oxidation of Fe2 + and Fe3 +, pH reduced from 6 to 3.5, the formation of crystal nucleus. Add ferrous sulfate (14 times that of crystal nucleus), with sodium hydroxide the pH value of 4, again in 80 ℃ drum air oxidation, then spray drying type goethite iron oxide. Put the iron oxide in converter, the hydrogen flow, going into the containing 20% water vapor heating in 425 ~ 450 ℃, and then in the nitrogen containing 10% air flow in 100 ~ 150 ℃ heating processing, containing ferrous oxide 28% of pigment iron oxide black, grain length and width of 0.7 mu mu m and 0.5 m respectively, specific surface area is 8 m2 / g, tinting strength is as high as 180%.
