Methods of Manufacturing

Using 2, 4-diaminotoluene and p-aminophenol as raw materials, firstly 2, 4-diaminotoluene and p-aminophenol (p-nitrosophenol can also be used) are condensed under alkaline conditions and oxidized by air. The intermediate 8-amino-7-methyl-2-phenazinol (8-amino-7-methyl-2-phenazinol) is then refluxed with sodium polysulfide aqueous solution at 115-117°C, diluted with water, and oxidized by air. The finished product is filtered and dried. Pass 1 part of 2, 4-diaminotoluene, 0.98 parts of p-aminophenol, 1.1764 parts of sodium hydroxide, 0.1969 parts of hydrochloric acid, 0.2672 parts of soda ash, 0.09kg (100%) of potassium permanganate, and 4000kg of water at 17.5-18.5℃. After being oxidized and condensed in air for 4.5 hours, the filter cake of the intermediate 8-amino-7-methyl-2-phenazinon (I) is obtained by filtration. Add the above filter cake to 3000kg of water, heat to 80-81℃, blow for 13 hours, and filter to obtain (II) filter cake. Add 3 parts of (II) filter cake, 420kg sodium sulfide (100%), 705kg sulfur (100%), heat up to 116-117℃ for 22h, add water to dilute, control the temperature at 85-90℃ and blow in air to oxidize for 18h , Press filter and dry to get the dye.

Uses

Sulfur reddish brown B3R is mainly used for dyeing cotton, hemp, viscose fiber, vinylon and its fabrics, as well as dyeing various coffee colors with red light. It is also dyed with various colors of gray, camel, light brown, etc. as the three primary colors with yellow brown 5G and black BN. It can also be used for leather coloring.
