Phylloquinone Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

In the presence of zinc, o-methylnaphthoquinone and acetic anhydride are reduced and acetylated to form acetylated menadione; then hydrolyzed in ammonia, and then catalyzed by boron trifluoride in ether to condense with plant alcohols to obtain dihydrovitamin K1 ; Finally, the product is obtained by hydrolysis, oxidation, purification and refining.

Uses

Occurs widely in green plants, algae, photosynthetic bacteria.

Drug Function and Efficacy

Can form prothrombin to maintain normal blood coagulation function. When it is deficient, it causes prothrombin deficiency bleeding.

This ingredient has been used in drugs with the following functions (note: it does not mean that the ingredient itself has the following health functions)
