It has a role as an EC 3.1.1.7 (acetylcholinesterase) inhibitor and an agrochemical. It derives from an oxazolo[4,5-b]pyridin-2(3H)-one.|Azamethiphos is a synthetic organic thiophosphate compound and organophosphate acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, mutagen, and neurotoxicant that is used as a pesticide. It is characterized as a highly soluble colorless to grey or orange yellow solid, and exposure occurs by inhalation, ingestion, or contact.
