Acrivastine Use and Manufacturing
From 2, 6-dibromopyridine, 4-methylbenzonitrile, EtO2CH2P(O)(Oet)2 and (2-pyrrolidinylethyl)triphenylphosphine bromide, it is obtained through a five-step reaction.
Competitive H1 receptor antagonist. Used for allergic rhinitis, hay fever, chronic primary urticaria, skin scratches, parasympathetic urticaria, specific air-cooled urticaria, etc.
Drug Function and Efficacy
Acrivastine is a strong competitive histamine H1 receptor antagonist with no obvious anticholinergic effect. It has low penetration into the central nervous system and can relieve symptoms caused by histamine by completely or partially blocking its release.
