Guangdong Petrochemical Refining andChemical Integration Project, the Largest Refining and Chemical Project withOne-Time Investment by Sinopec, Enters Full-scale Trial Production
At 10:26 on October 26, the Normal ReducedDistillation Unit II of PetroChina Guangdong Petrochemical Refining andChemical Integration Project (hereinafter referred to as GuangdongPetrochemical Project) in Jieyang City successfully introduced crude oil, marking the full-scale commissioning of the project into the trial productionstage.
The ADS II is the leading unit of the Guangdong Petrochemical Project, with a design processing capacity of 10 million tons/year, 8,400 hours ofoperation per year, a design flexibility of 60% to 110%, and a design operatingcycle of four years and one overhaul. The plant adopts high vacuum pressurereduction and deep drawing technology to provide raw materials for downstreamcontinuous reforming, jet fuel hydrogenation and diesel fuel hydrogenation, etc. At the same time, it adopts narrow point technology to optimize the heatexchange network and fully utilize the waste heat of the plant to reduce energyconsumption.
The basic and detailed design of the plant was completed by PetroChinaEast China Design Institute Co., Ltd. and China Petroleum Engineering andConstruction Corporation (CPECC) was the general construction contractor. Sincethe device started construction in March 2020, Guangdong Petrochemical Company, with the support and cooperation of Jieyang Municipal Government and DananhaiIndustrial Zone, scientifically coordinated and precisely deployed, strictlygrasping the four keys of schedule, safety, quality and cost, which took 27months, and was delivered on June 26, 2022. In the production preparation work, the majority of project builders to "hard work, practical work""three old, four strict" as the spirit of oil as a call to action, party members commando team, youth commando team as the backbone, lock theurgent, difficult, dangerous, heavy tasks, struggle to overcome difficulties, stepto achieve the plant The plant was put into trial production.
The normal depressurization unit II will produce at 70% load for 10 daysand process a total of 199920 tons of crude oil, in cooperation with 6 otherunits such as naphtha hydrogenation, which will provide oil intermodaltransportation, catalyst sulphurization oil and some unit reserve raw materialsfor the subsequent units.
Guangdong Petrochemical project is the largest refining and chemicalproject of China National Petroleum Corporation with one-time investment, andit is the only refining and chemical base in China that can process all thepoor quality heavy oil, which can increase the added value of products by 25%and reduce energy consumption by about 15% compared with refining and chemicalenterprises of the same scale. Relying on the good adaptability of crude oil,it can process 20 million tons of crude oil per year and produce 1.2 milliontons of ethylene products and 2.6 million tons of aromatics products, which isof great significance for CNPC to realize the refining and chemical business tothe middle and high end of the industrial chain and value chain.
Guangdong Petrochemical Project is located in the key position of"coastal economic zone" of Guangdong Province. After thecommissioning, it will increase the supply of synthetic resin products by 2.5million tons per year in South China alone, significantly reduce the externaldependence of chemical raw materials for household appliances and electronicsindustries in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area, and the engine effectwill drive the improvement of the petrochemical industry chain in EastGuangdong, accelerate the formation of a trillion-level green petrochemicalindustry base in Jieyang Dananhai Petrochemical Industrial Zone, and furtherenhance the level of coordinated development in Guangdong Province. It willaccelerate the formation of a trillion-dollar green petrochemical industry basein Jieyang Dananhai Petrochemical Industrial Zone and further enhance the levelof coordinated development in Guangdong Province.
