All you want to know about figs is here!
The American Plant Council (ABC) announced that Spanish herbal company Euromed has adopted figs through ABC's Adopt-an-Herb Botanical Education Program.
Euromed will support ABC's HerbMedPro database to ensure that the research data is always up to date. HerbMedPro provides important scientific and clinical research data for more than 265 herbs, spices, medicinal plants and fungi.
Andrea Zangara, director of scientific communication and marketing at Euromed, stated: "Euromed is a long-term supporter of the ABC program. This is our second participation in the program. Euromed is committed to expanding the safety and efficacy of plant products Research scope and disseminate relevant information through organizations such as ABC. "
Mark Blumenthal, founder and executive director of ABC, said: "This initiative will help ABC grasp the latest results of fig science and medical research, confirming that this food is also a drug."
Euromed recently launched a series of fruit and vegetable extracts, including fig extract ABAlife, which uses pure water extraction technology and contains high concentrations of ABA.
Figs are rich in nutrients, including the plant compound abscisic acid, which has the ability to stimulate blood sugar uptake by cells. Studies have shown that figs have anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, antioxidant and anti-tumor effects.
